The Plymouth House
About The Plymouth House
The Plymouth House was founded in 2002 by Thomas D. Shaffner, an active member of the New England recovery community and a man with a vision to facilitate widespread change. For the past 20 years, the Plymouth House has been transforming the lives of those who struggle with addiction, providing them with the tools they need to stay sober long-term and with an entirely new outlook on life.
Our 60-acre campus is nestled in the breathtaking White Mountains of New Hampshire, providing our guests with a recreationally focused treatment program quite unlike any other. Expert treatment services are delivered in a peaceful, serene setting, and guests have access to a range of amenities they will not be able to find anywhere else.
Imagine waking up in the lush, green countryside of New Hampshire, surrounded by trees, mountains, and sprawling gardens. Take a morning stroll after enjoying a chef-prepared breakfast or get centered in our well-appointed yoga and meditation studio. Our treatment program combines the 12 Steps model with a range of evidence-based therapies, promoting physical, mental, and emotional healing on a lasting level. Not only has our program successfully changed the lives of hundreds of people just like you — but it has quickly become one of the top addiction treatment programs in New England. As soon as you are ready to commit to positive change and a transformative treatment journey, The Plymouth House will be waiting.
